What's New in 2022?

How many of you remember the cartoon called "The Jetsons?"

It ran in the 60's and portrayed a futuristic society that was set in 2062.

Flying cars, and Rosie the Robot managing the home.

Back in the day, it was one of my favorite cartoons.

George, Jane, Elroy, Judy, Astro the talking dog, Rosie the Robot and of course Mr. Spacely.

How about that catchy theme song?

And what about the flying car?

I could just imagine myself zipping to work in one of those, no more traffic jams on I-235.

I'm seriously waiting for that to come to be!

Back in the 60's it seemed like a far-fetched futuristic fun cartoon, but when I've seen the highlights on YouTube, I can't help but think what things will be like in 2062, given the smart technology we have in the home currently.

And it's changing rapidly!

Sometimes, too quickly.

We've got our Rosie robots, we've got smart blinds, we've got our smart speakers, our smart appliances, Wi-Fi to power it all, and the list goes on and on.

In fact, I thought it would be fun to see what's on the horizon for Smart Home Technology in the upcoming year.

There are quite a few sites that cover this, but the one that I found the most information is the link towards the end of this blog.

You will be amazed at what's on the horizon, and if you are a techie guru, every gadget you can imagine (and most that you haven't thought you needed) will be available.

Just as with any technology, keep in mind it comes with a price tag, and usually over time the product will continue to improve, or perhaps we find we don't have a need for that smart thing a magig that we just had to have after all! 😊

It might be fun just to have it anyway.

What I find exciting is that we have options - lots of them - and if that helps to make our lives just a little bit better, I'm all for it!

It also looks like the focus is on integration, having these devices "talk" to each other, as well as an emphasis on carbon footprint and keeping things "green."

So, click on the link below, as well as google "Smart home trends in 2022" and see what technology awaits you:

Just for fun, I've attached a few snippets from YouTube about the Jetsons, for those of you who may have never heard of this cartoon-fair warning, you might become addicted and need to watch more:

As always, if you need some help getting that technology to work in your home, feel free to give us a call.

I'll be over, in my truck, not in a flying car - at least not yet anyway! 😎

Call CHS, and call it done!
